Take me out to the Ballgame...

Last night, we went to a Naturals Game (the minor league team in Northwest Arkansas). Our brother-in-law, Cody, has a cousin who plays for Springfield and that's who we were playing. So, of course, we wanted to take advantage of him being in town and go say hi! So, not only did we get to see Trey, but it was dollar hotdog night too! WOO HOO!! And Lyla was thoroughly entertained the whole night. Of course, she loved the music and noises and just danced, clapped, and snacked all evening. It was such a fun little family outing!

(we seriously tried to take this family pic 3 different times...and silly Lyla would not stop dancing! Therefore, we have a blurry little dancing queen.)

waiting to talk with Trey...someone's a little hot and sleepy.

And here he is! Look at that red little face! It was warm. :)
But, such great fun! Thanks Trey! Great to see you!

Life Lately

Hey everyone! Lyla here. Just wanted to let you know what I've been up to...

watching TV with Daddy:
looking at my books:
Giggling with my Daddy (always):
Trying to air out my really bad diaper rash. :(
making silly faces in the mirror:
CONSTANT dancing:
playing with my new neighbor, Presley:
listening to my Daddy jam with his friends
sucking on frozen peaches because my teeth are coming in:
cruising...took about 3 steps ON MY OWN TODAY!! (at Patrick and Margot's):
picking my nose (this is my new favorite trick):
playing some tunes on the piano:
As you can see, I've been really busy and growing like crazy!!

Two peas in a pod

Last weekend, John David went on a fishing trip with a group of guys. Since Katie and I were both husbandless, Lyla and I just spent the whole weekend with her and Sawyer! We had SO much fun!! Sawyer has been Lyla's boyfriend since birth. :) These two have spent some QUALITY time together! They are such a cute little duo.

So first, let's flashback into the friendship of Lyla and Sawyer...

Here they are at their first slumber party, where they first held hands...haha!
This is how we used to have dinner parties at the Henry's...just stick the babies in front of Praise Baby while we eat:
"Hi Sawyer!!"
Farmer's Market:
One of many picnics at Wilson Park:
Easter Sunday:
Playdate at the Blagg's:

And, here we are last weekend...all grown up. :)

Just doing a little Saturday morning reading:
"Look at this, Sawyer!"
Sawyer going in for the kiss...Lyla playing hard to get:
Pause playtime for a little hydration:
And, pose on the chair before we head to the Flea Market:
Sawyer, thanks for being such a great little buddy to Lyla! Katie, thanks for being such a great friend to me!! We LOVE y'all!!!!!!!!

10 months!

Lyla is 10 months old today!! Here are a few shots from our little 10 month photo shoot. She is making all sorts of faces these days...mostly, the one seen in the last picture. She loves to scrunch up her little face and give a big cheesy grin...and you can see her top two teeth which sprouted this month!! We love you more than ever, Lyla! Happy 10 months!! :)

Meeting Porter and Concert in the Park

We just got home from such a fun Thursday night! Our friends, Adam and Bethany, had their precious little boy, Porter, last week. So, we've been dying to go by and meet the little guy! And, boy, is he SO CUTE!!! As you can see, Lyla liked him too. After meeting Porter, we headed over to Gulley Park for Concert in the Park. This is something Fayetteville does throughout the summer and it's just another reason I LOVE this town so much!! :)

Proud Daddies:

she just decided to pick up the entire sandwich:

and wash it down with some water:

The Amazing Ali Wood

My cousin, Taylor, got married at the end of May here in Fayetteville, at Lake Wedington...a beautiful wedding to a beautiful girl!! His brother's wife, Ali, is a very talented photographer in Dallas, and she just "snapped a few pics" of Lyla at the wedding. And this is what turned out!! Seriously, I'm blown away at her talent!! These are some of my favorite pics of Lyla ever! I feel like she totally captured her sweet, joyful, and adventuresome little personality. Check out more work by Ali at aliwoodphotography.com

Enjoy! And, THANK YOU Ali, for these wonderful pictures! We love you!!
