Happy Birthday America!

We just got home from a week in Seaside with John David's family, where we soaked up time on the beach, ate yummy food, and celebrated the 4th of July! Lyla's been asking to go to the beach and play with Maggie all day today. But, it's back to reality for us! :) Here's how we celebrated the 4th of July...I think this was my favorite day of the whole week.

Off to the parade we go!

lots of kisses from sweet Luke :)

watching the parade
clapped for each float

sleepy, sweaty girl by the end
after the parade, we enjoyed breakfast at Great Southern

Then, that evening, we listened to live music on the lawn.

watching the airplanes
loving on Maggie
This picture cracks me up!! Luke really is the sweetest little thing and he kept wanting to give "Baby Lyla" hugs and kisses ALL week long! Sometimes his hugs were a little too aggressive for Lyla, and this picture makes him look like an absolute psycho. haha! (Whitney, I think she shares our neck phobia! She looks terrified! And I don't blame her!)
These 2, however, were 2 peas in a pod all week long!
Lyla didn't make it for the fireworks show. John David and I took her home, put her down for bed, and watched the fireworks from our balcony.  It was perfect.
More pics to come from the rest of our week at the beach!
