Lowen at 18 months

This is one of my favorite ages!! Lowen's little personality has come through so much this month, and she is all of a sudden talking up a storm and really starting to repeat everything we say. Her FAVORITE things right now are for sure Peppa Pig!! It's a show on Nick Jr. with British speaking pigs and it's adorable! At least 50% of the day, Lowen is saying "Eppa Pig! Eppa Pig!" And she even ends it with a little snort, like peppa. :) She also LOVES apples...asks for one non-stop...as you'll see in the below pics...this girl has an apple in her hand most of the day. ha! She also loves flashing her cheesy grin every time she sees the camera. Adorable. She also LOVES music...turns everything imaginable into a microphone and is constantly singing and dancing. The second she hears music, she is singing and dancing along. And, I realize this might sound like psycho mom, but I really think she can carry a tune! She will perfectly imitate the tune of songs. Hoping she got her Daddy's musical skills!

She went for her 18 month check-up this week (even though she's almost 19 months) and weighed exactly 22 pounds (25th percentile) and was exactly 2 feet tall (20th percentile). I was kinda surprised...she seems so chunky to me, but I guess she's actually pretty small for her age! Not for lack of eating, that's for sure. She's a good little eater!

A couple other things I want to remember...Everytime I'm on the phone, she runs up and says "hi Daddy!!" really excitedly, no matter who I'm talking to. :) She loves the water and loves bathtime. This summer, she seriously wanted us to just let her go and let her swim, and is not afraid to jump right in or put her head under. Slightly frightening if you ask me. :) Around 16 months she went down to one nap a day and naps around noon-3. She's a really good sleeper. And then goes right down about 7:30 each night and sleeps till 7:30 in the morning. That's about all I can think of. And now for some pics...

(she LOVES her blankies...sleeps with 3 of them! And calls them "dobbies")

My new JOB and my personal models!

So, the reason I've been MIA on my blog lately is because I have a new job!! I'm so proud and thrilled to be a new Trunk Keeper for Matilda Jane Clothing. :) I've always loved these adorable clothes for my girls. I've hosted a couple shows in the past because I'm super cheap and I want the discounts. :) And a while back, I heard a little rumor that MJ was wanting to hire a new TK in Fayetteville. After LOTS of prayer, conversations with John David, my family, and other TK's, I just found myself getting more and more excited at the possibility...kinda surprisingly! I LOVE being a stay at home mom. LOVE IT. Wouldn't trade it for the world. But, this job has been the greatest outlet for me...to make money, to be social and get a small break from my sweet kiddos, to have something to think about and keep me occupied besides my kids and keeping my house clean, and it's just overall been so much FUN!! I really do enjoy it...and my greatest passion is meeting new people and building relationships, so it allows me to do that on a weekly basis! And not to mention, I get some REALLY cute clothes for my girls!! They make some pretty cute (and sassy) models...

(First Day of Mother's Day Out this year!)
So, hey, if you happen to read this blog and have a little girl that might need some MJ, let me know! I'd be happy to help! If you aren't familiar with Matilda Jane, you must check out their clothes at www.matildajaneclothing.com

Summer of Ballet

Lyla took a break from gymnastics this summer to do a 6 week ballet/tap class, which she had been begging to do for months. I think she really enjoyed it, and was honestly really good at it, although at the end of the summer, she decided she wanted to go back to gymnastics. But, I'm SO thankful I got to experience watching that cute little body in a ballet leotard. There is nothing sweeter! And she was obviously excited that her Daddy got to come to her first ballet class. :)

Lyla and her sweet friend Harper

So, we went to Seaside like 3 months ago...

I'm so sad that I used to be such a frequent blogger, but two kids and a full-time job (more on that later)  sure make it really hard to make time for this! But, I'm determined to get caught up! Starting with Seaside! Our trip was EXTRA special this year because it started out with John William and Lacey's wedding!!!! I can't even express my excitement over this precious couple (and might I add that John David and I set them up!!) They are absolutely a testimony of God's grace and goodness and perfect plan for our lives, and the wedding could not have been more fun!! And we are so thrilled to have Lacey join the family!!!

(Somehow the below pictures are ALL out of order, but once again, I don't have the time or energy to do anything about it...so pardon the bouncing around!)

(end of night pic...ha!)

(The last 3 or 4 days of the trip it rained NON-STOP!! Lots of time on JuJu and Joe-Joe's porch with all the kids!! Every now and then, JD and Lyla escaped the stir-crazies to go play in the rain. And of course, Lyla and Maggie had so much fun together...giggling, dancing, and pretending to be sisters. Those 2 are so sweet together!)

And, somehow, we go back in time to the Rehearsal Dinner and Pre-Wedding...

(sweetest above pic for so many reasons) :)
